Is Helping Out Your Adult Kids Financially Really Helping?

Business owners, including Chief Executive Boards International members often wonder "How much financial help should I be providing my adult children?" Ideas range from "As much as I can", which in the case of many business owners is a lot, to "While I could help them out a lot, it's better to help them figure out how to become financially independent on their own."

In which camp are you? This article might not change your mind, but I hope you'll have a look at CEBI Member Brian Fricke's video newsletter, "Worry Free Living TV" for both a parable and a viewpoint on this question. Fast-forward to 4:30 into the video for the segment on helping out adult kids.

Now that you're back from that, here's an article on how I think you could really help your kids financially for about $20/year.
