A Chief Executive Boards International member learned something this month he wished he'd known before. Here's his story:
"For the first time in 45 years we have been hit by OSHA a couple of times in the last year and forced to pay a few tens of thousands of dollars in fines. "We didn't know about this program and wonder if other businesses in CEBI are also not familiar with it."
"On-site Consultation services are separate from enforcement and do not result in penalties or citations. Consultants from state agencies or universities work with employers to identify workplace hazards, provide advice on compliance with OSHA standards, and assist in establishing injury and illness prevention programs."Thanks to our member for passing this idea along.
